Author and Illustrator
Students will create a book by playing the part of the author and/or Illustrator. Students will work together as a team and collaborate as an author and illustrator when co-creating a book.

Story Retell
Students will read a story of their choice, and then retell the story using the structure of: First, Next, Last using manipulatives of their choice.

Story Book Theatre
Students will select a character from their favorite story, and recreate that character by dressing up like them. Students will then role play that character by interacting with others as that character would. Students could also recreate their favorite story and act out a sequel to it.

Little Librarian Read Aloud
Students will set up a class full of stuffed animal students. Students will decide how the class should be seated: On the bed? Around the living room? On the "magic reading carpet?" Once their "students" are ready to listen, students will read their favorite story to them. Students will ask someone to record them so that they can watch themselves afterward.

Timeline
Students will create a timeline about one aspect of their life. The timeline must have a start date, and end date, with key events highlighted along the timeline.

Compare and Contrast
Students will compare and contrast two points of view. Students can poll family members about their point of view and their feelings on the subject. Students will then create a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast the two points of view.

Fan Fiction
Students will write a piece of fan fiction (Fan fiction is a type of fictional text written by fans of any work of fiction where the author uses established characters, settings, or other intellectual properties from an original creator as a basis for their writing.) related to their favorite book, story, or series.
