How can my student try an instrument?

Do I have to know anything about music to join? 

Students do not need prior musical training to join band. We start from the beginning with each student. 

Is there a cost? 

There is no fee for participating in the instrumental music programs. Families are responsible for rental of instruments, music and supplies. We want everyone that wants to play an instrument to do so and there are programs in place if a financial need is present. Reach out to your building band teacher if you have questions.

When is class? 

Students meet as a class for 30 minute sessions 2-3 times per week during the school day. 

What about percussion

Students interested in percussion should have at least 2 years of private piano experience and should contact their building band teacher for more details.
