8th Grade Social Studies-American History

Course Description

Grade 8 American History focuses on United States history from its colonial roots to the Civil War. The course will provide students with the knowledge and understanding of how the United States developed as a democratic society in the modern world.

American history will combine a lot of different learning strategies from memory work, to projects. Students should always come prepared to learn, have fun, but also be prepared for any tests, quizzes, memory work, or projects that are due! Students are also expected to engage and participate as well as respect other classmates and the teacher AT ALL TIMES!!
