Google Classroom for Asynchronous Snow Days

Google Classroom is a free web-based platform for students and teachers to interact while online/at-home learning. Google Classroom can be accessed from any computer via Google Chrome or any mobile device.  The computer is the best.

I will be using Google Classroom on Asynchronous Snow Days. Your child already has logged into Google Classroom in the classroom. Before you can access your child's Google Classroom you will need to create a Google account on your computer for your child.

To do this you will need to

***Please do not worry about the information below for right now. I will let you know if and when you need this information.

Google Classroom App

Parents,

Please download the Google Classroom App on your phone to take a picture of your child's work to submit a paper that was printed off. Then upload the picture to your child's Google Classroom. Make sure you join our classroom with our Google Classroom code: 3g2jlpl

SeeSaw

SeeSaw is a fun way for students to show their learning and understanding of concepts through the use of technology. Parents can get alerts when their child posts their work in SeeSaw through the SeeSaw app, which can be downloaded to your phone. Go to your App store or Play store to download the app. Just type SeeSaw.

Please take a second and view the 2 SeeSaw links below. One link is directions on setting up SeeSaw as a student (SeeSaw Class) and as a parent (SeeSaw Family). They are two different apps. For my online/at home learners you will need a code to access your SeeSaw Class account. I will pass that along to you.  The other link is SeeSaw icons.

Welcome to...Seesaw

Note: the Codes in this presentation are NOT our student/class codes!!!

This Google Slides will guide you in setting up a SeeSaw account for you and one for your child. Parents need to set up a SeeSaw Family App and for Students learning at home on their own device will need a SeeSaw Class app on their Ipad, tablet or computer.
