About Mrs. Moore

Hello! I'm Stephanie Moore and this school year marks my 13th in teaching. Before teaching at SMS, I taught 7th grade ELA  at Edgewood Middle School from 2010 to 2020. In 2020 I resigned from teaching to stay home with my children. I returned to the classroom, here at SMS, in 2024. My Bachelors degrees are in English Lit and Secondary Education and my Masters of Education is in School Improvement & Leadership. I did my Masters research in students with ADHD.

My husband (Steve) and I have been together since the 10th grade and married for 14 years. We live in Bel Air with our four children and our dog named Judy.  Calvin and Eli are twins and in the 5th grade here at SMS.  Our daughter Hannah is in the 3rd grade, and our son Sammy is in 1st.

I love Jesus, my family & friends, live music, reading, praying, and animals. I am grateful to be a part of the amazing SMS community and to work alongside my amazing 4th grade colleagues. Being a teacher here is the best!
