Mrs. Moore's 4th Grade
"Hope anchors the soul."
Hebrews 6:19
"A joyful heart is like the sunshine of God’s love, the hope of eternal happiness."
Mother Teresa
Hello! I'm Stephanie Moore and this school year marks my 12th in teaching. I previously taught 7th grade ELA at Edgewood Middle School from 2010 to 2020. I loved my time at Edgewood and learned so much. In 2020, I resigned from teaching to stay home with my children while they were babies and toddlers. I returned to the classroom in 2024. My Bachelors degrees are in English Literature and Secondary Education from Eastern University in Pennsylvania, and my Masters of Education is in School Improvement & Leadership from Goucher College. I did my Masters research in students with ADHD.
My husband and I have been together for 20+ years, married for 13. We live in Bel Air with our four children and our dog named Judy. Our twin boys, Calvin and Elijah (Eli), are in the 4th grade here at SMS. Our daughter, Hannah, is in the 2nd grade, and our son Samuel (Sammy) is in Kindergarten.
I love Jesus, my family, my friends, live music, reading, praying, nature, and running- quite slowly. I am grateful to be a part of the amazing SMS community and to work alongside my incredible 4th grade colleagues. Being a teacher here is the best!
All glory and praise to God for every one of the many blessings in my life. James 1:17
