UPDATE - FEBRUARY 26TH
Dear Parents,
Please see the following videos with details of return to school for Infants - 2nd Class.
RETURN TO SCHOOL- PARENT INFORMATION
and a short video message for our students!
Have you a picture of your pancakes? Or a video clip?
You can share them here (or with your class teacher if the link doesn't work for you).
Dear Parents / Guardians,
Please see the latest update on the school closure and also an overview of the responses from the parent survey.. As a school we were happy with the responses and appreciate the cooperation and support from parents to ensure we have the most effective teaching and learning for our students while the school is closed..

Teachers will engage with pupils, using a blended approach of pre-recorded lessons, Seesaw/Google Classroom and regular contact on video calls. Students will submit work through the appropriate learning platform. Please note that the majority of teaching content will be done through pre-recorded lessons. This will allow students to watch at their own pace and pause and replay the content as necessary. Live video calls will allow teachers to touch base with students and make sure that their learning stays on track rather than teaching formal lessons.
As became very obvious during our first school closure, there is no replacement for the face-to-face engagement of a classroom. Remote learning brings challenges to parents. teachers and students. We will work together to make the best of this situation. We know that every home situation is different and that there may be difficulties in terms of wi-fi or access to devices. I would encourage you to keep in communication with the class teacher over the coming weeks to maximise the teaching/learning for your child. At this point we have been told that schools will remain closed until the end of January and we will keep in regular contact with you to keep you advised of any changes.
Thank you for your cooperation and support,
Yours sincerely,
John Weir
