WHAT: Reflections is a national arts program offering students to be recognized for their creativity. This year's theme is: "I Belong...". Scholarships and prizes are awarded to national winners. The entries will be judged, and they'll be sent to compete to higher levels such as district, state, and national. All LMS students entering this contest will be invited to a ceremony where their work will be displayed and lunch will be provided.
HOW: Students can enter this program through 2 or more of the following categories: Dance Choreography, Literature, Music Composition, Film Production, Photography, and Visual Arts. AI is NOT allowed. Animation created with a software program is NOT allowed. If a student wants to create a group project, they must nominate an individual as the owner.
Submissions are due by Wednesday, October 15.

The Halloween Door Decorating event started on September 29th. This will take place on the INSIDE of your homebase door, because we have had art torn down in years past. Make sure to ask your homebase teacher if you would like to help. The prize is a donut hole party for each homebase winner per grade level.
RULES:
1.)The materials used for door decorating are all already at school. Materials cannot be bought or brought from home, either by the teacher or the student. If you use a material that is not from school, you will be disqualified.
2.)If a classroom has something that could be seen as an advantage, like double doors, they cannot use them as a courtesy to the other classes.
RUBRIC:
1.)The doors are creative with a fun theme
2.)They show that effort has been put into them
3.)They are detailed and decorated well
Hey Lions, our Halloween Film Fest is coming up! Starting on the 29th, and films are due by October 29th. If you're interested in joining our Halloween film contest, here is the code to our classroom: lcsgl4da The prize for winning the film contest is your film being shown on Lion TV, and a $25 gift card!
RULES:
1.) The films have to be school appropriate and follow guidelines.
2.)The films cannot be made with AI.
3.)There is a four minute time limit.
4.)You can work with up to four people.
5.)Minimum time is 45 seconds.
RUBRIC:
1.)The films should be creative and engaging.
2.)They have to fit the halloween theme and school guidelines (no fake blood, etc.)
3.)Well put-together
Hello Lincoln Lions! October 1st, Wednesday, and Friday, October 3rd will be our Video & Board Game Tournament. Go to the library during lunch and you'll be handed a jolly rancher. We'll have multiple game options such as Mario Kart, Gang beasts, Super smash bros, etc. We also have a mobile corner for students to play Brawl Stars and Clash Royale! We hope to see you there. 😁
