At KS3 all students follow a broad and aspirational curriuclum which equips students with a secure understanding and knowledge base for success at KS4. 

Students study Chemistry, Biology and Physics topics each year based on Big Ideas in Science, these ideas are revsited each year with an increasing level of depth, breadth and complexity.  The content of each topic is mapped on the curriculum map. 

Each lesson has core questions which detail the knowledge or skills to be learnt. These core questions are asked at the end of each lesson and again throughout to Key Stage to help students recall and retain knowledge.   For more information on this approach please see our Curriculum Implementation and Pedagogy statement.
