GCSE English Literature

Students study four set texts:

• Macbeth by William Shakespeare

• A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

• An Inspector Calls by JB Priestley

• 15 poems from the AQA 'Power and Conflict' cluster.  (Students in Year 10 will study the Edexcel Power and Conflict Cluster).

In addition to these texts, students are also assessed on analysing 'Unseen' poetry.  Click the button below to learn more about the specification. 

Students currently in Year 10 or below will follow the Edexcel Literature Specification.  

Set texts remain the same, but there is some variation with the Power and Conflict cluster of poetry.
