ABOUT ME

This year I will have your student for one of the following classes: ELA III, ELA IV, or Audio Visual.

I attended college at Cumberland University, earning a Bachelor's degree in English in 2010, followed by a Master's in Teaching. I have taught English and Tiger TV (Audio/Visual) at Gordonsville High School for the past six years. I was recognized as Countywide Teacher of the Year Grades 9-12 for the 2023-2024 School Year. I absolutely love Gordonsville High School! 

Before becoming an educator, I spent over a decade working in communications as an editor and reporter for Main Street Media of Tennessee. I continue to write freelance columns for The Wilson Post newspaper. In 2025, I won several Tennessee Press Association Awards for writing and photography. I am a mother of two boys and a proud coach’s wife!
