Chapter 1 - Colonization Leads to Conflict
This Week We're Learning: This week, we will review the 13 Colonies & learn more about how & why they were established. We will begin exploring how the growth of the colonies affected the people who were already living in North America, including American Indian nations.
Learning Target: Students will be able to identify & analyze the impact of conflicts between colonists & American Indian nations caused by the expansion of colonization.

Try This at Home: Ask your child to name as many of the 13 Colonies as they can! Talk about why people came to the colonies & how the growth of the colonies affected the American Indian nations already living on the land.
