About Ms. Carr
I am a Tennessee Tech University graduate with my degree in Health and Physical Education K-12. I have been teaching elementary physical education and coaching basketball for twenty-five years. I have spent the last eighteen years in Smith County with the first seven years at Allons Elementary in Overton County which is where I attended elementary school many years ago.
I love children and athletics, which go hand in hand with the education of children. There is nothing more satisfying than teaching children the fundamental skills that are vital in all sports as well as teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline and the thrill of victory and success. Many of the things taught through physical education and athletics will help shape and mold the students throughout their lives in maintaining a healthy body, relationships, careers, and community involvement.
My family and I are very active in our church activities as well as all types of sports which fill up our days, nights and weekends. We love spending time on Dale Hollow Lake and taking our family trips to Disney World.
Teaching physical education and coaching basketball is a very rewarding job and I am so thankful to have been given the opportunity to do both throughout my years in education.
