Thee Flutist
watercolour on canvas
8”X14”
Thee Flutist demonstrates the passion I wish for women to harness because it shows the result of women doing what they like and doing it so well: world peace, joy, and fulfillness at once. The spiraling rainbow colours stemming from her represent the passion that she channels to the listener through music notes. The flutist wears a red dress that connects into succeeding color waves that take over the whole canvas and hopefully, the audience.
Living Memories, 2020
Charcoal on Sketchpad
18”x24”
Living Memories portrays a young woman looking at an old family photo album after her grandmother’s funeral, reminiscing about their shared memories. We communicate with our deceased loved ones through the memories they left behind. The main subject is surrounded by them everyday: the family pictures on the wall, her grandmother’s favorite chair, the knitted cushion she made for her, and their comfort spot in the corner where their favorite stories still echo.
