Thank you for your interest in volunteering to work with the Shadow Mountain Red Cape Boosters in partnership with Levy Premium Foodservice, NASCAR Enterprises, and Phoenix Raceway.
We partner with Levy Restaurants at Phoenix Raceway to help with food and beverage service during big events. In return, our nonprofit group receives donations that support our programs.
Here’s what volunteers need to know:
You must be 18 years or older.
You’ll need to attend required training before working an event.
Some positions (like serving alcohol) require completing a short alcohol awareness class.
Open to All: Friends, neighbors, and community members are welcome to volunteer, even if they do not have a student involved in the group.
Each shift you work earns a donation to our group:
Volunteer service directly contributes to our fundraising:
VIP Booth / Suite Attendants: $175+ per person per shift
Food / Pantry / Service Runners: $125+ per person per shift
Ice Truck Volunteers: $125+ per person per shift
Concessions: Donation based on sales performance (calculated after the event)
50/50 Raffle Sales: Donation based on sales performance (calculated after the event)
Minimum Guarantee – Total group receives at least $200 per event.
Tips & Gratuities – Any tips given by guests are added to the group’s donation.
Tips or donations received during volunteer events are not guaranteed to any individual. All tips are considered group contributions and will be pooled accordingly. While we appreciate your hard work, individual tip amounts cannot be tracked or promised. This ensures fairness and avoids delays in distributing funds.
Every hour you volunteer helps us raise money for scholarships, events, and student programs!
Arrival: Volunteers must report to their assigned service area at least 2 hours before doors open for the event.
Shifts
Breaks: Levy designates meal/break areas, and volunteers are expected to take breaks before the event starts.
End Time: Volunteers stay until released by Levy management (meaning shifts usually last the full event).
Before volunteering, please understand:
All volunteers must complete required training (details emailed separately).
You will receive a confirmation message only after training completion and assignment.
Professional conduct, adherence to dress code, and compliance with all rules are mandatory.
Anyone canceling a confirmed shift must notify both their group lead and rhonda@smhsrcb.com immediately.
Failure to appear for assigned shifts or comply with policies may affect eligibility for future events.
Professionalism is key. No drinking, smoking, or use of foul language while volunteering.
Be on time. Volunteers report at least 2 hours before doors open.
Dress code: Black polo, black pants, slip-resistant closed-toe shoes. Tattoos covered, minimal jewelry.
No tips. Any gratuities go directly to our group’s fundraising.
You’ll be placed in a food or beverage area and will work as a team under a Group Lead.
Volunteers may not sit in the stands, visit suites, or watch the event while on shift.
Breaks and meals will be provided in designated areas.
Volunteers are not employees of Levy or Phoenix Raceway.
You won’t be paid individually—all donations go to our nonprofit group.
Everyone must sign a waiver and attendance sheet before each event.
Personal bags are subject to search, and you shouldn’t bring valuables.
By volunteering, you’re helping raise money that directly supports Shadow Mountain students and programs! It’s a fun way to be part of the action at Phoenix Raceway while giving back to your favorite group.
