ALL ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Mary-Frances Toy. I have been a teacher for 35+ years and am starting my 27th year in Catholic education. I went to California State University in Sacramento, where I obtained my undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in elementary education. My master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in instructional technology is from George Mason University.  My husband, David is a retired Army officer and government civilian. We have 3 children - Andrew, Patrick, and Bethany. We also have 3 grandsons - Ian, Beau, and Noah. 

I have taught in 5 different states - California, Missouri, Virginia, Maryland, Florida, and an American school in Germany.  I have taught kindergarten-3rd grade; 5th grade ELA, Social Studies, and Religion; 6th/7th-grade Science; and 7th grade ELA. I have also been a Resource teacher and a librarian. My hobbies include reading, playing card games, bunco, swimming, traveling, and bike riding. I am excited to share my love of learning with all my students. I believe that learning is a lifelong process and I know I will learn as much from my students as they learn from me.
