History
Before Mr.Gallion started in 2011, Mr. Jim Scott was the choir director at PHMS and PHHS for 42 years. Each year a special student is selected to receive the "Jim Scott/Sam McKean" award. This award was duly names for Jim Scott to honor his dedication and long tradition of excellence.
The middle school choir program at Pendleton Heights Middle School has a rich tradition of fostering the young talent in the community to reach their musical goals. Over the years, the PHMS Choirs have been awarded gold ratings at ISSMA Organizational Contest and even 'Gold With Distinction". They have also been awarded Grand Champion Show Choir in the middle school division.
