Brake Cluster Assembly
Brake Cluster frame with rack and pinion
Master Cylinders
The brake cluster frame holds the mastee cylinders as well as the rack and pinion, low voltage pannel, and throttle. To begin the assembly, the rack and pinion is mounted onto the brake cluster frame. Next, the master cylinders were assembled and attached to the brake cluster frame.
Brake Cluster Installation
The brake cluster frame is installed onto the frame of the car in front of the drivers seat. The pedals are then installed and attached to the master cylinder using clevis pins.
Bleeding the Brakes
Opening bleeder valve
Pumping the master cylinders
Paper towels were placed around connections in the brake system to check for leaks.
To bleed the brakes the brake bleeder valve is opened to allow trapped air to escape from the brake lines. The master cylinders are pumped to force air out of the brake lines.
