In an effort to address the students' concerns with the nutrition and taste of the school lunch menu items, the SLC coordinated with the St. Mary's County Dietitian to discuss ways to improve this aspect of school life. From this meeting with SLC, we participated in food tastings for potentila school lunch menu items. Based on the success of the meeting and the feedback LHS had to give, the food tastings became county wide at all high schools. With SLC's efforts, we were able to implement a new school lunch menu item for the FY 23-24 school year - specifically bean burritos.
