HAC

Here are a few guidelines for "deciphering" the HAC system:

We do not enter grades on a particular day, rather grades are entered as each assignment is complete. Please allow up to two weeks for projects and longer assignments.

If a grade does not appear under a released assignment, the student was absent and extended time was given. Any work not completed when the assignment is entered into HAC will be recorded as a zero. Each teacher has her own policy about how and when late work is accepted and graded, so if you have any questions about a particular subject, please contact the appropriate teacher.

Please ask your child about the missing assignment before contacting the teachers.

Process grades (40% of total quarter grade): These grades reflect the student's knowledge as the content is being learned.

Product grades (60% of total quarter grade): These grades reflect the student's mastery of the content, and therefore, are weighted accordingly.

Each parent and guardian is given a log-in name and password. You must have these before you are able to access the site. Please contact the Secretary to the Principal if you do not have this information.
