Whether you're a competitive debater or looking to gain confidence, Chopticon's MUN will make you feel prepared for the club no matter what your skill level is by doing things such as;
Mini-Simulations that focus on one part of the conference process
Giving independent research time to build skills in identifying reliable sources
Public Speaking
Hosting international food to experience cultural awareness
Playing board games to practice strategic thinking, negational skills, and structure
Watching documentaries to expose you to real-world issues
Cover trivia to sharpen your skills under pressure
Chopticon's Model United Nations is more than debate on international issues. It's about cooperation and negotiation, seeing and taking in account different perspectives of others to reach an agreement. We invite everyone no matter the political views or background as long as you act sensible.
