Assignment 87: Animal Dress Up

Create a portrait of an animal dressed as a human. Be creative, make it funny. Be sure the image looks as if it belongs. Concentrate on finishing touches, pay attention to detail and be sure your background is crisp.

Steps:

  1. Open Pixlr.com and choose Pixlr X.

  2. Go to Google Images and look for 2 images. The first image should be a close of a person from the top of their head to mid chest. The second image should be of an animal face facing forward.

  3. In Pixlr, choose Create New>Full HD>Create

  4. Choose Add Image>Browse. Choose your saved image.

  5. A window will pop up Choose Add Current.

  6. Click on the right side of the image and rename it "Layer 2".

  7. Choose the Scissors>Remove>Draw Cutout. Set the Softness to 0% and Size to 60.

8. Start cutting out the background and face of the person. Leave a bit of the neck.

9. Choose Add Image>Browse. Choose your saved image.

10. A window will pop up Choose Add Current.

11. Click on the right side of the image and rename it "Layer 2".

12. Choose the Scissors>Remove>Draw Cutout. Set the Softness to 0% and Size to 60.

13. Remove the body of the animal. After you clean up the image, move everything into space.

14. Go to Layer 1, Properties, flip on the background, choose a color.

15. Crop the image. Apply changes.

16. Save as a jpeg.
