The focus of this workshop will be on setting the foundation for the fellowship and building a shared understanding of the problems and issues facing our planet, and the broader sustainability and climate action movement. Activities include:

ASYNCHRONOUS PREPARATION TASKS: Complete Prior to Workshop on Friday April 16th
Task 3: Environmental Sustainability Education (ESE) WebQuest - Environmental Sustainability Education (ESE) is the foundation for sustainable and climate resilient schools. Spend 45 - 60 minutes to explore resources in this WebQuest to familiarize yourself with the movement. Use the following prompts to guide this exploration:
Part 1: Explore terms and definitions and choose ones that resonate the most with you, and/or the terms that you think would resonate best with your community as you define this work.
Part 2: Explore the different frameworks (in particular those highlighted in yellow), and consider the following: What patterns do you see emerging between the frameworks? Which framework(s) provides a clear roadmap for organizing content? Which framework(s) provides a clear roadmap for taking solutionary action across a school community? Which frameworks are better for K-5 vs. 6-12? Which framework(s) resonate with you the most?
Task 4: The World Becomes What We Teach - Read through pages 1 - 32 (Introduction and Part I), and capture different thoughts (T), questions (Q), and epiphanies (E) you have as you read. come prepared to discuss your TQEs in breakout sessions.

FINAL DELIVERABLES
1) WRITTEN CASE STUDY: DUE DECEMBER 3, 2021
Every fellow will submit a written case study that captures their journey in the SCRS Admin Fellowship Program. Fellows will make a copy of the 2021 TEMPLATE and fill it in with their information, and submit their final case study on December 3, 2021.
2) PRESENTATION: DUE DECEMBER 3, 2021
Every fellow will also deliver an oral presentation at the December Graduation. The presentation is a "mock presentation" meaning you are going to pretend you are delivering it to an audience in your school community.
You choose the audience! Department, Faculty and Staff, Board, PTA, etc.
6-8 minute presentation with a slide deck - include pictures!
