The Southern Maryland (SOMD) Brain Bee is a free, fun neuroscience competition for local high school students. The Bee encourages students to explore the brain sciences, test their knowledge, and discover academic and applied neuroscience opportunities.
Students can register to compete in the individual competition, the team competition (groups of 3 or 4 only), or both. Prizes will be awarded to first place competitors. Door prizes will also be awarded!
The individual winner of the SOMD Brain Bee will be invited to compete at the USA Brain Bee Championship at Rutgers University, and they will receive $500 toward registration and travel!
The goal of the Brain Bee is to inspire young people to learn about neuroscience and discover its applications in modern society.
