Date and Location

Day and time: The 2026 Bee will be held at 2 pm on March 7, 2025.

Location: Recital Hall, Dodge Performing Arts Center, 47855 College Dr, St Marys City, MD 20686. Park in Lot H on the campus map.

Bee Format

All questions will utilize written recall (via personal whiteboard or paper form). Competitors will have 30 seconds to write their answer to each question. 

There will be three rounds. Each round includes two parts: team competition and individual competition.

• Round 1 (General topics; 1 point per question)

• Round 2 (Brain anatomy; 2 points per question)

• Round 3 (Specific topics; 3 points per question)

If needed, there will be an optional tiebreaker round at the end.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to the first place winners of the individual and team competitions. Additionally, the first place individual competition winner will receive $500 of registration and travel support for the USA Brain Bee (to be reimbursed upon submission of valid receipts).

Every guest will receive a door prize ticket upon entrance; each guest is eligible for one door prize. Door prizes will be awarded by random drawing. Competitors are allowed to win a door prize and a competition prize.

The Bee will be held at Dodge Performing Arts Center (building #30), close to Historic St. Mary's City. The address is: 47855 College Dr, St Marys City, MD 20686. Parking is available in Lot H, between the tennis courts and the Performing Arts Center.
