History and Systems of Psychology: 1976-77 versus 2017: Each of these courses were offered at this time, however their descriptions are much different. In the academic year of 1976-1977, they describe this course as "The nature and theory in psychology, historical development, and current status of major theories"(SMCM Archives). Currently this course is described as, "The philosophical and scientific background of modern psychology. An examination of some of the historical approaches to the fundamental and persisting problems of psychology and their relationship to contemporary approaches".
