My teaching style is evidence-based & student focused with particular attention to intersectionality & cultural humility. I endeavor to create a classroom that is supportive of students of all identities and abilities, and prioritize centering student needs through anti-racist & trauma-focused teaching practices.
My courses emphasize the development of critical thinking, data science, and scientific writing skills while also facilitating active participation in applied learning. Through a balance of lecture, engaged learning, and in-class discussion, I seek to ground students' learning in their everyday experiences & present them with real-world issues to reflect upon & address.
