Reducing Aggression through Gradual Experimentation
a.k.a The RAGE Lab
Hello! My name is Elsa Oates, and I am a senior at St. Mary’s College of Maryland majoring in psychology. After graduating in May of 2026, I plan to continue my education and pursue a master's degree in counseling psychology in order to become a licensed mental health therapist. Within my future career, I hope to have a specialty focus on working with victims of trauma, as I find helping others process and overcome previous negative experiences incredibly rewarding. On campus, I am President of the St. Mary’s chapter of Psi Chi, President of the Psychology Club, Head TA for Statistics courses in the Psychology Department, as well as being a labbie here in the RAGE lab. I am looking forward to gaining valuable scientific research experience by working alongside Prof. Ehman and my peers, as well as being part of meaningful research that helps to shed light on incredibly important issues. In my free time, I like spending time with my friends, listening to music, being outside, and practicing self-care.
Hello ! My name is Clara Divjak, and I am a senior psychology major at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. My current studies focus on my passion for understanding how psychologists utilize research and findings to drive social change. After completing my studies here, I would like to pursue a master's degree in social work with an emphasis on behavioral health. I am very interested in becoming better versed in the data collection as well as the research process as a whole. Outside of classes, I enjoy spending time with my cats and reading by the water.
Hey Howdy! My name is Daniel Ake. I am a junior studying psychology (and sociology) at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. After graduation in May 2027, I plan to serve in the Peace Corps before pursuing graduate school with the goal of working in public health policy. I believe that life is service, and I want to give back to a system that has given me so much—by helping address not only how we care for people but also the deeper causes behind the growing mental health crisis. At this stage in my academic journey, I’m beginning to present research and conduct data analysis, experiences that are both sharpening my skills and fueling my passion for the field. Outside of class and the lab, I enjoy rock climbing and running a mystery novel book club. As a member of the RAGE lab, I’m excited to contribute to impactful research while continuing to grow through collaboration and professional development.
