Dr. Shanen Sherrer is Assistant Professor of Biochemistry. She earned her PhD in Biochemistry from Ohio State University and she has been teaching at St. Mary’s College since 2017. Her student-centered research program encompasses interdisciplinary approaches while showing the applicability of research for understanding human health. Currently, the Sherrer group is studying the biological outcomes of DNA damage caused by environmental sources.
Mary Hall is a retired Commander of the U.S. Navy who practiced law until 2012. She has been teaching law in the Political Science and History departments since 2005. Her popular courses include Con Law II (Civil Liberties), Women and the Law, Capital Punishment, Rights of the Criminally Accused, and the Supreme Court and Discrimination.
Bill Roberts, Professor of Anthropology, is in his 31st year of teaching at St. Mary’s. In the fall of 2021 he’d recently returned from a sabbatical spent focusing on local public health crises during the backdrop of the global pandemic. Dr. Roberts teaches Anthropology, Public Health, African Diaspora Studies, as well as Environmental Studies.
