Timelines
This term, we are learning all about the Romans and what they did for us.
Today, we looked at important events that happened during the Roman period and tried to think about how this should be space correctly on our timelines.
Roman Soldier Visit
Today, we had a visit from our very own Roman soldier. We learnt about Boudica and what it was like to be a member of the Roman Army.
The Invasion of Claudius
The children have learnt all about the invasion of Claudius. They discussed whether the Romans had tried to invade before AD43, why and how Claudius invaded, and what happened next. The children then worked in small groups to be an interviewer of Claudius, or to be Claudius and then acted this out in front of the class.
Roman Mosaics
Throughout the term, we have looked at different mosaics from the Roman times. We used this as inspiration to design our own Greek mosaic tile. Once the clay is dried we will use paint to transfer our designs onto the tiles.
