Program Requirements

1. The Individual Learning Plan (ILP)  is developed by the teacher in collaboration with the induction mentor and in consultation with the site administrator to foster a culture of responsiveness, positive presuppositions, reflective dialogue, and inquiry. The purpose of the individual learning plan is to provide induction teachers with choices that allow them to set goals and pursue professional development and activities that help them reflect on their practice and experience professional growth. 

2. These will be shared with the Induction TOSA and Induction Director via the Induction Google Classroom mid-October to ensure adequate completion by the first 60 days of enrollment.

   • Set and reflect on professional goals: pre-assess, mid-year review, year-end reflection

   • Select Understanding Students and the Learning Context Activities

   • Select Teaching & Learning through Inquiry & Observation Activities

3. Collaborate with Mentor and/or Instructional Coach to engage in learning and inquiry cycles in relation to ILP Weekly

4. Engage in and reflect on Professional Learning aligned to Professional Goals

   • 10 hours required for general education and  special education teachers

   • Submit Professional Learning Reflection Log mid-year and year-end

5. Complete State & Program Required Documentation

   • Credential Screening Form- upon hire

   • Professional Agreement - upon enrollment in TIP

   • Individual Learning Plan

   • Mid-Year Online Survey

   • Year-End Online Survey

6. Upon completion of Induction

   • Candidates ILP will be reviewed by the Induction team to ensure the candidate has completed all requirements and demonstrated growth towards mastery of the CSTPs

     1. If a candidate was on an extra support plan, and had demonstrated a lack of growth or lack of sufficient evidence, Induction Advisory would review the ILP for evidence of growth as well.

   • Once the ILP has been reviewed by the Induction team and verified complete, the candidate will receive an email verifying completion of Induction.

   • The credential analyst will provide a credential application to the candidate.

   • Once the candidate returns the application, the credential analyst will file for the candidates Clear Credential if all requirements have been met.
