SMBSD provided assurances, signed by Matthew Beecher, SMBSD Deputy Superintendent, that states the institution:

Santa Maria-Bonita School District
Criterion 1:
This is to affirm that Santa Maria-Bonita School District (SMBSD) duties regarding credential recommendations will not be delegated to persons other than employees of the Commission-approved institution, Santa Maria-Bonita School District.
This is to affirm those individuals identified as responsible for credential recommendations will participate in Commission training related to the recommendation process.
Criterion 3:
This is to affirm that SMBSD will be in compliance at all times with all relevant preconditions for the initial Induction program.
This is to affirm that Shelli Hart, Program Specialist for Teacher Development, on behalf of SMBSD will provide all required data reports, including but not limited to data reports and accreditation documents, for the Induction program.
This is to affirm that SMBSD will cooperate in an evaluation of the program by an external team or monitoring of the program by Commission staff.
This is to affirm that SMBSD will participate fully in the accreditation system and adhere to submission timelines.
This is to affirm that the SMBSD induction leadership understands that once a candidate is accepted and enrolled in the Induction program, SMBSD will offer the program, meeting adopted standards, until the candidate:
Completes the program;
Withdraws from the program;
Is dropped from the program;
Is admitted to another approved program to complete the requirements, with minimal disruption, for the authorization in the event the SMBSD program closes. In this event, an individual transition plan would need to be developed with each candidate.
Criterion 4:
This is to affirm that Shelli Hart, Program Specialist for Teacher Development on behalf of SMBSD understands that it will be responsible for checking the contact information listed on the Commission’s approved programs page, and that any necessary updates will be made on, at least, an annual basis.
Criterion 5:
This is to assure that candidates will be informed of SMBSD’s grievance process that can be found on our induction website. Candidates will also be notified of the grievance process in their induction handbook.
Criterion 6:
This is to affirm that, once approved, SMBSD will make the Induction website accessible to the public so the public may obtain basic information about SMBSD’s Induction program and requirements.
The website will not require login information such as access codes and passwords, except for participant personal or confidential information.
SMBSD will make public information about its mission, governance and administration, admissions procedure, and information about all Commission-approved education programs.
Criterion 9:
This is to affirm that all information provided to the Commission by SMBSD is truthful and accurate.
This is to affirm that SMBSD understands that evidence of a lack of veracity is cause for denial of Initial Institutional Approval.
