Founding Titan
The Founding Titan is one of the Nine Titans, crucial to the storyline of Attack on Titan. This Titan possesses immense powers related to the history of humanity, including the ability to control and alter human memories.
Controlling Other Titans
The Founding Titan can control all other Titans, sending commands to them and forcing them to obey the will of the user. This is one of the Founding Titan's most formidable abilities.
Altering Human Memories
The user of the Founding Titan can alter human memories, both individually and collectively. In the story, this ability is used to erase or modify memories to prevent people from knowing about the existence of Titans or specific historical events.
Summoning and Controlling Colossal Titans
The Founding Titan can summon giant Titans, such as the massive Titans used to attack the Walls. This ability allows for widespread destruction.
Enhancing the User's Strength
The Founding Titan also grants its user immense physical strength, making them far stronger and more durable than an ordinary human. This makes the user a formidable fighter.
Changing the Course of History
Through memory manipulation and controlling the actions of others, the Founding Titan has the power to influence the course of human history. This explains how the Marleyan Empire came to be and how Eldians were treated throughout history.
Requires Royal Blood
The Founding Titan's abilities can only be fully accessed by someone who possesses royal blood, or is a direct descendant of King Ymir. This is a major limitation, as even if someone possesses the Founding Titan, they cannot use its full potential unless they are of royal descent.
Untrained Users
If the user of the Founding Titan lacks royal blood or is not trained in how to use its powers, the abilities may be ineffective or unusable. For instance, Eren Yeager, although possessing the Founding Titan, was unable to fully access its powers until he gained Zeke Yeager's help.
Guilt and Trauma
Some users of the Founding Titan become burdened with guilt or trauma from the power they hold, making them hesitant to use it freely. For example, King Fritz chose not to use the Founding Titan's power to harm others, which contributed to his decision to isolate Eldia.
Tied to the Ideology of King Fritz
The Founding Titan's users are often bound by the ideologies and constraints passed down from King Fritz and the Eldian royal family, which can be a heavy burden, as seen with the rulers of Eldia.
Ymir Fritz
Ymir Fritz is the original progenitor of the Nine Titans, and the Founding Titan originates from her. She is the mother of all Titans, and her death marks the beginning of the Titan powers passed down through Eldian descendants.
King Karl Fritz
King Fritz was the ruler who wielded the Founding Titan and used its powers to create the massive Walls that isolated humanity from the outside world. He also erased human memories to ensure peace within the Walls.
Friedra Reiss
A member of the royal Reiss family, Friedra Reiss possessed the Founding Titan before it was taken by Eren. She was the mother of Historia Reiss and the last royal family member to use the Founding Titan before Eren.
Eren Yeager
Eren obtained the Founding Titan after consuming Friedra Reiss during a battle with Marley. With Zeke Yeager’s help, Eren was able to fully unlock the Founding Titan's powers and alter the course of history.

War Hammer Titan
The War Hammer Titan is one of the Nine Titans in Attack on Titan. This Titan has a unique and distinctive set of abilities that set it apart from the other Titans, and its powers are heavily tied to the user’s strategic thinking and combat skills.
The War Hammer Titan possesses several remarkable abilities, most of which are centered around its ability to create weapons and structures from hardened Titan flesh. Some of the key abilities include:
Weapon Creation
The War Hammer Titan can create various types of weapons and structures from its hardened Titan body. This includes weapons like massive hammers, swords, and even barriers for defense. These weapons are incredibly durable and can be used to deal significant damage in battle.
Versatile Combat
Unlike most Titans, the War Hammer Titan can create weapons that can be wielded at will, giving it great versatility in combat. It can fight both at close range with weapons and at a distance with projectiles.
Ability to Stay Inside the Crystal
A unique feature of the War Hammer Titan is that the user is not physically exposed in the Titan's body. Instead, the user remains inside a hardened crystal-like structure within the Titan, controlling it from the inside. This provides the user with some protection, as they are not as vulnerable to attacks as other Titan shifters who are exposed.
Titan Hardening
The War Hammer Titan has the ability to harden its body to an exceptional degree, making it one of the most defensive Titans. This hardened exterior allows it to withstand heavy attacks and also create structures or weapons with incredible strength.
Strategic Use of Environment
The War Hammer Titan can manipulate the environment around it to create traps or ambushes. It can form defensive structures or use the terrain to its advantage, making it a very tactical Titan in battle.
Vulnerable to the User’s Location
Since the user of the War Hammer Titan is inside the crystal-like structure, they are not entirely safe. If an enemy is able to locate and destroy the crystal, the user can be killed. This makes the user vulnerable to surprise attacks, especially from enemies who are capable of finding the Titan’s weak spots.
User's Physical Limitation
Although the War Hammer Titan is powerful, the user’s physical body is still human, and their combat ability is limited by their physical strength. While the Titan itself is strong, the user can still be harmed if their Titan body is not well-defended, particularly if their crystal form is destroyed.
Reliance on the Titan's Body
While the War Hammer Titan can create weapons and structures, it still depends on the Titan’s body being in good condition. If the Titan form is heavily damaged, its ability to create and wield weapons could be limited.
The War Hammer Titan was introduced relatively late in the Attack on Titan series, and it was initially used by the Tybur family before being passed on to others. Here are the most notable users:
Lara Tybur
Lara Tybur was the previous inheritor of the War Hammer Titan, belonging to the Tybur family, which was one of the most powerful and influential families in Marley. Lara Tybur used the War Hammer Titan during the attack on Paradis Island, where she fought against the Survey Corps and Eren Yeager. She had the ability to control the War Hammer Titan from within a crystal-like structure, as previously mentioned.
Eren Yeager
After the death of Lara Tybur during the Battle of Fort Salta, Eren Yeager managed to consume her and take the power of the War Hammer Titan for himself. Eren then uses the War Hammer Titan’s abilities in his fight against the Marleyan forces and as part of his broader plan to achieve his goal during the War for Paradis arc.
The Tybur Family
Although Lara Tybur was the primary known user, the War Hammer Titan's powers were closely tied to the Tybur family, which had long held this power. The Tybur family’s role in Marley’s military and political system made them central to the War Hammer Titan’s legacy.
Colossal Titan
The Colossal Titan is one of the Nine Titans in Attack on Titan and is known for its sheer size, immense power, and devastating abilities. It plays a significant role throughout the series, particularly in the early seasons.
The Colossal Titan is easily recognizable due to its massive size, standing at around 60 meters tall, making it one of the largest Titans in existence. Its size and power give it several unique abilities:
Immense Size and Strength
The Colossal Titan's most defining feature is its enormous size. Standing at over 60 meters tall, it is significantly larger than most Titans and can easily overpower enemies through its sheer physical size and strength. It can cause massive destruction simply by walking or attacking.
Massive Explosions
One of the most dangerous abilities of the Colossal Titan is its ability to release an enormous amount of steam and heat. When it appears, it generates a huge explosion upon transforming, releasing intense heat that can burn anyone within a wide radius. This makes it a powerful weapon, capable of causing destruction on a massive scale.
Thermal Radiation
The Colossal Titan can emit large amounts of steam and heat from its body, especially when it transforms. The heat can melt and burn through structures, and the steam can be used to create a defensive wall, making it nearly impossible to approach the Titan without being severely burned.
Destructive Power
Due to its size, the Colossal Titan is capable of creating massive shockwaves, destroying entire walls and cities with its footsteps. The devastation it causes upon its appearance is one of the key reasons it is feared by both humans and other Titans.
Explosion during Transformation
When the Colossal Titan transforms, the resulting explosion is so powerful that it can demolish buildings, create craters, and severely injure those in proximity. This explosive transformation is one of its most defining traits and has been used strategically in battles to cause widespread destruction.
Vulnerable During Transformation
One of the main weaknesses of the Colossal Titan is that it is particularly vulnerable while transforming. The transformation process is slow and exposes the Titan to attacks from its enemies before it can fully manifest its power.
Energy Consumption
The Colossal Titan’s massive size and explosive abilities require an immense amount of energy. After using its steam-based attacks or explosive transformations, the Titan becomes fatigued, which could limit its effectiveness in prolonged battles. The user of the Colossal Titan must be mindful of this energy drain.
Weak in Close Combat
While the Colossal Titan is incredibly powerful, its large size makes it slower and less agile compared to smaller Titans. This makes it vulnerable to being overwhelmed in close-range combat, particularly by agile opponents.
Limited Use of Physical Combat Skill
The Colossal Titan lacks fine control or precision in physical combat. It is a "brute force" type Titan, and while its immense size and power make it a formidable force, it does not have the same level of dexterity or maneuverability as some of the other Titans like the Attack Titan or War Hammer Titan.
Bertholdt Fubar
Bertholdt is the original and most prominent user of the Colossal Titan in the series. He is one of the main antagonists in the early seasons, serving as one of the Warriors sent to Paradis Island from Marley. Bertholdt uses the Colossal Titan to break through Wall Maria and initiate the attack on humanity, starting the series' central conflict. His transformation into the Colossal Titan causes the massive breach in Wall Maria, leading to the fall of humanity's outermost defenses.
Bertholdt is a quiet and reserved character, and his use of the Colossal Titan is often marked by strategic thinking. However, he is also burdened by the guilt of the destruction he causes and the devastating impact of his actions. His eventual death is a significant turning point in the series.
Armin Arlert
In a major turning point in the story, Armin Arlert, one of the main protagonists, inherits the power of the Colossal Titan after a critical battle with Bertholdt. Armin’s use of the Colossal Titan is notably different from Bertholdt’s. While he lacks Bertholdt’s initial physical strength and combat experience, Armin uses his intellect and strategic mind to wield the Colossal Titan’s power effectively.
Armin’s first transformation into the Colossal Titan is a key moment in the series, and his subsequent use of the Titan plays a significant role in the conflict between Paradis Island and Marley. Despite his initial hesitation and fear, Armin shows great courage in using the Colossal Titan's destructive power for the greater good.

Beast Titan
The Beast Titan is one of the Nine Titans in Attack on Titan and stands out for its unique abilities, physical characteristics, and strategic importance in the series. It plays a major role throughout the story, particularly in the conflict between Marley and Paradis Island.
Exceptional Throwing Ability
One of the most notable abilities of the Beast Titan is its extraordinary skill in throwing objects with incredible precision and strength. The Beast Titan can throw boulders, weapons, and even Titans with amazing force and accuracy. This ability is often used strategically to launch attacks from a distance, causing widespread destruction.
Control Over Pure Titans
Similar to the Founding Titan, the Beast Titan has the power to control and direct Pure Titans. However, unlike the Founding Titan, the Beast Titan’s ability to control Titans is not on a large scale but still proves to be a valuable asset in battle. Zeke Yeager, the Beast Titan’s user, uses this ability to direct Titans to act on his command, often leading them into strategic positions or using them to overwhelm enemies.
Increased Intelligence and Tactical Thinking
The Beast Titan is unique in that it shows a high level of intelligence compared to other Titans. The Beast Titan’s user, Zeke Yeager, demonstrates advanced strategic thinking and a deep understanding of military tactics. Zeke uses this intellect to outmaneuver enemies, plan attacks, and lead Marley’s forces with great efficiency.
Size and Strength
The Beast Titan is larger than most Titans, standing at approximately 17 meters tall. Its large size and powerful body grant it great physical strength. However, unlike some Titans with thick skin or heavy armor, the Beast Titan's power is more focused on agility, coordination, and long-range tactics rather than brute strength in close combat.
Shifting into the Beast Titan
Zeke can transform into the Beast Titan at will, and his body changes into a muscular ape-like form, retaining the typical features of a Titan shifter. The Beast Titan’s appearance is notable for its primate-like body and posture, which sets it apart from other Titans.
Vulnerability in Close Combat
Although the Beast Titan is powerful in terms of long-range attacks and throwing abilities, it is not particularly strong in hand-to-hand combat. Zeke, like other Titan shifters, is vulnerable to being overpowered if an enemy is able to get close and attack its nape. This is a significant weakness, as it leaves the Beast Titan susceptible to surprise attacks from agile enemies.
Dependence on Zeke’s Physical Condition
As with all Titan shifters, the Beast Titan's power is limited by the physical condition and stamina of its user. Zeke’s ability to transform and maintain control over the Beast Titan can be hindered by physical exhaustion, injury, or other factors that weaken his body. Additionally, if Zeke’s human form is killed, the Beast Titan will cease to exist.
Vulnerability to Attack from Above
Due to its ape-like appearance and posture, the Beast Titan's movements can be limited in certain environments, especially when it comes to quick reactions or evading attacks from higher ground. In some cases, opponents with superior agility, such as the Ackermans, have the potential to exploit this vulnerability.
Zeke Yeager
Zeke Yeager is the primary and most important user of the Beast Titan. He is a key character in the story, serving as an antagonist for much of the series. Zeke is the eldest son of Grisha Yeager (Eren’s father) and plays a pivotal role in Marley’s military operations.
Zeke was a former Eldian Restorationist and initially worked against Marley. However, over time, he became a loyal ally of Marley, carrying out his duties as a Warrior in the military. As the Beast Titan, Zeke was able to use his abilities to control Pure Titans and launch devastating attacks on Paradis Island. His use of the Beast Titan has major implications for the plot, especially when it comes to his eventual collaboration with Eren Yeager.
Tom Xaver
Tom Xaver (who was a former Marleyan scientist) also has some connections to the Beast Titan, although he never directly transforms into it. Tom Xaver was instrumental in influencing Zeke's path and his eventual use of the Beast Titan. Xaver was the one who discovered Zeke's potential as a Warrior candidate and became a mentor figure for him, leading Zeke to inherit the Beast Titan later in the story.
Attack Titan
The Attack Titan is one of the Nine Titans in Attack on Titan and plays a central role throughout the entire series. Its abilities, history, and the characters who inherit it are crucial to the overarching plot.
Abilities of the Attack Titan
Incredible Physical Strength
The Attack Titan is known for its raw physical power and speed. While it doesn’t have the same level of specialization in abilities like some other Titans, its strength makes it highly effective in close combat. It is agile and can take down enemies with its powerful fists and overwhelming force.
Combat Skill
The Attack Titan is often described as having superior combat instincts and a natural talent for fighting. Eren Yeager, the primary inheritor of the Attack Titan, exhibits an incredible fighting ability, using the Titan's strength and speed effectively in battle.
Regeneration
Like all Titan shifters, the Attack Titan has the ability to regenerate damaged body parts, including wounds sustained in battle. This regenerative healing is a significant advantage in combat, allowing the user to recover quickly from injuries.
Hardening
While the Attack Titan does not possess the same advanced hardening abilities as the War Hammer Titan, it is capable of using basic forms of hardening to strengthen its body, particularly its fists and skin, for defensive and offensive purposes.
Connection to Past Inheritors
The Attack Titan also possesses a unique ability to access memories of previous inheritors. This power is significant in the series, as it allows the current user to glimpse into the experiences and knowledge of those who wielded the Titan before them. This ability becomes particularly important as Eren Yeager discovers more about his past and the true history of the Titans.
Unyielding Will
One of the defining features of the Attack Titan is its connection to the user’s unyielding spirit. This manifests as an intense drive to fight, often pushing the user to take extreme measures to achieve their goals. This "will to fight" is a key characteristic of the Titan and contributes to its strength.
Weaknesses and Limitations of the Attack Titan
Limited Range of Abilities
The Attack Titan’s powers are relatively straightforward compared to some other Titans that have specialized abilities (like the War Hammer or Beast Titan). It lacks the ability to create weapons or control other Titans, meaning it relies primarily on its raw strength, speed, and combat skills in battle.
Vulnerability of the Nape
Like all Titans, the Attack Titan has a weak point at its nape, which is vulnerable to attacks. If an enemy can strike this weak point, they can kill the Titan shifter.
Emotional Dependence
The Attack Titan’s powers are strongly linked to the will and emotions of the user. This can be both a strength and a weakness. If the user becomes overly emotional or loses focus, their combat abilities may be compromised. This is especially significant in Attack on Titan, where Eren’s impulsive nature often leads him into reckless decisions.
Time Limitation
Like all Titan shifters, the Attack Titan can only maintain its transformation for a limited period before the user’s body begins to deteriorate. Prolonged transformations can lead to exhaustion or even death if the user isn't careful.
Eren Yeager
Eren Yeager is the most significant and well-known user of the Attack Titan. He inherits the Titan from his father, Grisha Yeager, and becomes its primary wielder throughout the series. Eren's journey is central to the plot of Attack on Titan, and his connection to the Attack Titan is essential to his personal growth and the story’s progression.
Eren initially inherits the Attack Titan after his father injects him with the Titan serum, allowing him to transform after his mother is killed by the Titans. As Eren grows, he learns to master the Attack Titan’s abilities, and his fierce determination to fight against the Titans and uncover the truth about the world shapes the direction of the story.
As the series progresses, Eren’s motivations shift, and his use of the Attack Titan becomes more complex, particularly after he gains access to the powers of the Founding Titan. His ultimate goals and decisions become a pivotal part of the conflict between Marley and Paradis Island.
Grisha Yeager
Grisha Yeager, Eren’s father, is another key figure who inherits the Attack Titan. Grisha, originally a member of the Eldian Restorationist movement, uses the Attack Titan in his efforts to fight against the Marleyan government and liberate the Eldians. He injects Eren with the Titan serum, thus passing the power of the Attack Titan to him. Grisha's actions and his motivations play a crucial role in shaping the events that unfold later in the series.
Eren Kruger
Eren Kruger was a former Eldian restorationist and the previous holder of the Attack Titan before it passed to Grisha Yeager, and later to Eren Yeager. He was part of the underground movement working against the Marleyan government, which oppressed the Eldians on the island of Paradis and elsewhere.
Kruger was a key figure in the resistance efforts against Marley. As the holder of the Attack Titan, he played a vital role in gathering information and orchestrating plans to liberate Eldians from Marley’s tyrannical rule. Kruger’s actions helped shape the future of the Eldian people, even though he was eventually captured by Marleyan forces.
The Attack Titan plays a key role in the larger context of the Titans, especially with its connection to the Founding Titan. As the series progresses, Eren Yeager uncovers that the power of the Attack Titan is linked to the abilities of previous Titan shifters. Eren’s ability to access the memories of past users of the Attack Titan helps him unlock deeper truths about the world and the history of the Titans.
In addition, Eren's later acquisition of the Founding Titan power, as well as his connection to the other Titans, becomes central to the story. His desire to protect his friends and fight for freedom is directly influenced by his connection to the Attack Titan’s legacy.

Armored Titan
The Armored Titan is one of the Nine Titans in Attack on Titan and is known for its impressive physical strength and the armored plating that covers most of its body. This Titan plays a critical role in the battle between Marley and Paradis Island, as it is one of the key Titans used by Marley to enforce their military dominance.
Armored Skin
The most defining feature of the Armored Titan is its thick, protective armor. The Titan’s body is covered with a hard, almost impenetrable armor-like plating, which protects it from most attacks. This armor is especially effective against blades and other projectiles, giving the Armored Titan a significant advantage in both offense and defense.
Physical Strength
Despite its bulky appearance, the Armored Titan possesses impressive physical strength. This strength allows it to engage in close combat with other Titans and humans effectively. Its armored body makes it a heavy hitter, able to take down opponents using its brute force.
Speed and Agility
Despite its heavy armor, the Armored Titan is surprisingly fast and agile. This is unusual for most armored Titans, which tend to be slower due to the weight of their armor. The Armored Titan can quickly move across the battlefield, making it a difficult target to hit.
Offensive Power
The Armored Titan’s offensive capabilities are enhanced by its armor. It can charge through enemy defenses, break walls, and use its strong limbs to crush opponents. The Titan also uses its armored body to ram into structures, such as gates and walls, causing large-scale destruction.
Regeneration
Like all Titan shifters, the Armored Titan has the ability to regenerate from wounds, allowing it to recover from injuries that would otherwise be fatal. However, this ability is not instantaneous and requires time, depending on the severity of the injury.
Vulnerable Joints
The armor covering the Armored Titan is not completely impenetrable. While the rest of its body is heavily armored, the joints, such as the knees, elbows, and neck, are more vulnerable. Skilled opponents, especially those who are quick and precise, can target these weak spots to defeat the Titan. For example, the nape (the back of the neck) remains a vulnerable spot for the Armored Titan, as with most Titans.
Slow Regeneration of Armor
While the Armored Titan can heal most injuries, it cannot immediately regenerate its armored plating. If its armor is damaged or broken, it takes longer for the armor to fully regenerate compared to flesh wounds. This makes it vulnerable to sustained attacks that target its armor over time.
Dependence on the User’s Strength
The power of the Armored Titan depends heavily on the physical condition of its user. If the user is injured or exhausted, the Titan’s combat effectiveness may be reduced. The Titan’s speed, agility, and strength can be hampered if the user’s body is weakened.
Reiner Braun (Primary User)
Reiner Braun is the most prominent and well-known user of the Armored Titan in Attack on Titan. He is introduced as a Warrior candidate from Marley and one of the main antagonists in the early parts of the series. Reiner is part of a group of Warrior candidates sent by Marley to infiltrate Paradis Island and retrieve the Founding Titan.
Female Titan
The Female Titan is one of the Nine Titans in Attack on Titan, and it plays a significant role in the series both in terms of its unique abilities and the central character who wields it. This Titan is not just physically powerful but also strategically important, as it is used by Annie Leonhart, one of the primary characters and antagonists in the story.
Strength and Speed
The Female Titan is incredibly strong, with the physical power to engage in close-quarters combat with other Titans and even humans. However, what makes it unique is its speed and agility. Annie’s control over the Female Titan allows it to move with quick precision, making it more mobile than many other Titans. This makes it a formidable opponent in battle, as it can dodge attacks and strike at vulnerable points with impressive accuracy.
Hardening Ability
One of the key abilities of the Female Titan is its capacity for hardening, a power that allows it to create hardened skin on specific parts of the body. This ability is used both offensively and defensively. For example, the Female Titan can harden its hands to create solid, weapon-like fists, or it can form armor-like plates on its body to defend against attacks. This makes it highly resistant to damage and difficult to defeat in combat.
Combat Skills
The Female Titan is known for its exceptional combat skills. Annie Leonhart, the user of the Female Titan, is an experienced fighter, and her training and abilities are reflected in the combat style of the Female Titan. It is not just a mindless creature; instead, it is capable of complex strategic thinking and can engage in hand-to-hand combat with both humans and other Titans.
Scream Ability
The Female Titan also has the ability to scream, which can summon Pure Titans to attack or overwhelm opponents. This ability, while not as prominently featured as in other Titan shifters like the Beast Titan, is an important aspect of the Female Titan’s versatility. When Annie uses her scream, it can serve as a means to overwhelm or distract enemies during battle.
Regeneration
Like all Titan shifters, the Female Titan can regenerate from injuries. However, the regeneration of the Female Titan is not instantaneous, and there are limits to how quickly it can heal. Severe injuries, especially to key areas like the nape (the weak point of all Titans), can take more time to recover from.
Vulnerable Nape
Like all Titans, the nape (the back of the neck) is the most vulnerable part of the Female Titan. A well-placed strike to this area can kill the Titan shifter and stop the transformation. While the Female Titan’s hardening ability can help protect this area to some extent, it is still a weak point that can be exploited.
Exhaustion from Extended Use
The Female Titan requires significant stamina to use, especially during extended battles. Prolonged use can tire out the user, leaving them vulnerable to attack. Annie Leonhart, as the wielder of the Female Titan, is shown to be mentally and physically drained after prolonged periods of transformation, which limits how long she can remain in Titan form.
Vulnerability to Heavy Attacks
Despite the hardening ability and armored skin, the Female Titan is still vulnerable to powerful attacks, especially those that target its joints, eyes, or the exposed nape. Titans like the Armored Titan, with its physical strength and the ability to break through defenses, can pose a significant threat to the Female Titan.
Emotional Strain on the User
Annie Leonhart’s emotional and psychological state also impacts the Female Titan’s effectiveness. Annie is shown to be somewhat conflicted about her mission and her role in the ongoing conflict. Her hesitation and internal struggle can cause her to hold back, affecting her combat effectiveness.
Annie Leonhart
Annie Leonhart is the most prominent user of the Female Titan and is one of the central characters in the Attack on Titan series. Her backstory, motivations, and actions make her one of the most complex and tragic characters in the series. Here’s a deeper look at her role:
Annie is a warrior candidate chosen by the Marleyan government to infiltrate Paradis Island and retrieve the Founding Titan. She is one of the elite soldiers trained by Marley to be part of the mission that would ultimately lead to the breach of Wall Maria.

Jaw Titan
The Jaw Titan is one of the Nine Titans in Attack on Titan, known for its remarkable speed and powerful jaws, which give it a distinctive edge in combat. This Titan has been passed down through several users, each playing a significant role in the larger conflict between Marley and the Eldians of Paradis Island.
Enhanced Bite Force
The most notable feature of the Jaw Titan is its incredibly strong jaw and teeth. It can bite through almost anything, including the hard armor of other Titans, walls, and steel. This immense biting power makes it highly effective in close combat, as it can easily tear apart enemy Titans and objects in its way. This power is the origin of the Titan's name, as its ability to crush and destroy with its jaw is its greatest strength.
Speed and Agility
The Jaw Titan is one of the fastest and most agile of the Nine Titans. It can move quickly, making it difficult for enemies to track or hit it. This ability allows the Jaw Titan to engage in rapid attacks and outmaneuver larger, slower Titans, which is an essential advantage in battle. The Jaw Titan’s agility is a key aspect of its offensive strategy, enabling it to strike with precision.
Combat Style
The Jaw Titan is typically used for hit-and-run tactics, exploiting its speed to attack swiftly and retreat before the enemy can counterattack. This style is complemented by its jaw strength, which is used to break through defenses and capture or destroy targets.
Sharp Claws and Teeth
In addition to its powerful jaws, the Jaw Titan also has sharp claws, which it can use for slashing and further augmenting its offensive capabilities. These claws are not as powerful as the jaws but are still formidable in close-quarters combat.
Regeneration
Like all Titan shifters, the Jaw Titan has regenerative abilities. It can heal from wounds, but the regeneration takes time, and the speed at which it heals varies depending on the severity of the injury.
Vulnerable Nape
Like all Titans, the Jaw Titan's most vulnerable spot is the nape (the back of the neck). A well-placed strike to the nape will kill the Titan and its user. The Jaw Titan’s speed and agility can help protect it, but if an opponent targets the nape directly, the Titan can be defeated.
Lack of Long-Range Abilities
The Jaw Titan excels in close combat, but it has no long-range attacks. It relies on its speed and strength in melee combat and is vulnerable to enemies who can fight from a distance or have ranged weaponry.
Stamina Limitation
Like all Titan shifters, the Jaw Titan has stamina limitations. Prolonged combat or excessive use can tire out the user, weakening their effectiveness. While its agility helps it avoid damage, it still requires the user to maintain high energy levels to perform at its best.
Physical Fragility in Comparison to Other Titans
While the Jaw Titan is incredibly fast and strong, it is less durable than other Titans like the Armored or Colossal Titans. This makes it more vulnerable to sustained damage, especially from powerful attacks or enemies with superior endurance.
Marcel Galliard (Previous User Before Porco)
Marcel Galliard was the previous user of the Jaw Titan before his younger brother Porco Galliard took on the role. Marcel was one of the Marleyan Warriors chosen to infiltrate Paradis Island and retrieve the Founding Titan.
Marcel’s story is tragic, as he is one of the first characters to demonstrate the moral complexities of the Warrior candidates sent by Marley. His mission to infiltrate Paradis Island ends in tragedy when he is devoured by the Titan that was later inherited by Ymir (the current Jaw Titan user).
Porco Galliard (Previous User Before Falco Grice)
Porco Galliard, Marcel’s younger brother, becomes the new holder of the Jaw Titan after Marcel’s death. Porco is introduced later in the series as one of the Marleyan Warriors sent to Paradis Island to reclaim the Founding Titan and confront the Survey Corps.
Ymir (Current User)
Ymir is a former Warrior candidate and the current user of the Jaw Titan. She was originally an Eldian who lived in the internment zone within Marley and was forced to become a Warrior candidate to serve Marley’s military objectives.
Falco Grice (Most Recent User)
Falco is introduced as a young, idealistic soldier from Marley, who is part of the Warrior Unit. He is one of the candidates chosen to inherit the powers of the Nine Titans, specifically the Jaw Titan, and his journey begins when he and his fellow Warrior candidates are sent to Paradis Island to assist in the military operation against the Eldians there.
Cart Titan
The Cart Titan is one of the Nine Titans in Attack on Titan, and it has a distinct role and abilities that set it apart from other Titans. Unlike many of the other Nine Titans, the Cart Titan is not primarily known for its offensive power or speed but instead is characterized by its strength, stamina, and utility in war, making it an important asset in the military strategies of Marley.
Increased Stamina and Endurance
One of the primary features of the Cart Titan is its exceptional stamina. This Titan can maintain its form for long periods, which is in contrast to other Titan shifters who can only transform for limited durations due to the strain on their bodies. The Cart Titan's endurance allows it to keep fighting for long stretches, making it an effective long-term asset in battles, especially in support or reconnaissance roles.
Quadrupedal Form
unlike most Titans, the Cart Titan uses a quadrupedal (four-legged) form that allows it to move more efficiently over long distances and carry heavy loads. This gives it enhanced mobility, making it ideal for tasks like carrying large artillery or heavy equipment, which it can transport over rough terrain.
Heavy Load Carrier
One of the most unique aspects of the Cart Titan is its ability to carry heavy loads. It is often seen carrying military supplies, artillery, and other resources into battle. This feature makes the Cart Titan a crucial logistical support unit for Marley’s military operations. In this role, the Cart Titan can help transport critical materials or even provide support during sieges and assaults.
Armored and Resilient
The Cart Titan's body is notably more resilient than that of other Titans in terms of structure. While it may not have the extreme durability of Titans like the Armored Titan, it is still relatively resistant to damage, making it capable of surviving long periods in combat.
Regeneration
Like all Titans, the Cart Titan has regenerative abilities, though its regenerative powers are not as fast or pronounced as those of other Titans, such as the Regeneration seen in Eren Yeager's Attack Titan or Reiner Braun’s Armored Titan. This limitation is likely a trade-off for its enhanced stamina and endurance.
Low Offensive Power
The Cart Titan does not have the same offensive power as some of the other Titans, such as the Attack Titan or the Armored Titan. It is not particularly effective in direct combat or in breaking through enemy lines on its own. Its role is more focused on support and logistics rather than engaging in brutal combat.
Vulnerable Nape
Like all Titans, the Cart Titan has a vulnerable nape (the back of the neck), where its true human form resides. If an enemy can target and destroy the Cart Titan’s nape, the Titan shifter will be killed, which limits its ability to act independently in the heat of battle.
Speed and Agility
While the Cart Titan is relatively mobile due to its quadrupedal form, it is not as fast or agile as Titans like the Jaw Titan or Female Titan. It is more effective when it comes to endurance and supporting roles, rather than quick offensive tactics.
Limited Offensive Options
The Cart Titan does not have specialized offensive features like the Armored Titan's hardened skin or the Beast Titan's ability to throw objects over long distances. This means that it is less versatile in offensive battles and primarily contributes to the war effort in indirect ways.
The Cart Titan has had a few notable users throughout the Attack on Titan series. The most prominent and well-known users are Pieck Finger and Zeke Yeager (though Zeke's association is related to other Titans, Pieck is the primary user of the Cart Titan in the series).
Pieck Finger (Current User)
Pieck Finger is the most well-known and prominent user of the Cart Titan in Attack on Titan. She is a member of the Marleyan Warrior Unit, a group of Eldians selected to inherit the powers of the Nine Titans, and is one of Marley’s key assets in the war against Paradis Island. She becomes the Cart Titan after inheriting the power, and her role in Marley’s military operations is crucial for the logistics of the war.
