Biogas is a renewable resource that can be processed out of cow feces. Other than cow feces, organic waste/food scraps can be a source of biogas, although the process can take much longer compared to cow feces. That is why it is necessary to have a methane catalyst in order to fasten the process of biogas. The main purpose of our research is to find the most efficient catalyst to fasten the process of methane production using food waste. The type of catalysts that are used to help food waste in the making of methane gas are chicken eggs, soybeans and a germ decomposer also known as Effective Microorganism 4 (EM4). The experiment that was done, shows that Effective Microorganism 4 (EM4) proved to be the answer to fasten the production of methane gas.
