Timings & Food related issues

(a) Children can be dropped in the day care, not any earlier than 8am in the morning. This has been decided in order to ensure proper cleaning of the day care, every morning, by our aunties before children start coming in.

(b) Feeding times are fixed for the children above 1 yr. of age:

Morning snack time: 10.30-11.00 am.

Lunch time: 12.15-1.00 pm.

Afternoon snack time: 3.00-3.30 pm.

(c) Staff try their best to feed all kids, but if unsuccessful (less than 10% is eaten) parents will be informed to do the needful. Staff cannot be held responsible for incomplete boxes and bottles. Feeding will be done in the dining area only.

(d) If children have not been given breakfast, and sent to the daycare, only milk or biscuits will be fed to the kids if they cannot eat independently. Feeding by attenders can be done after 10.30 am only.

(e) All day care bags should reach the daycare before 11am. No sharing of bags, snacks/lunch and water is allowed. Snacks, lunch and water must be provided in a basket labelled with the child’s name.

(f) Feeding bottles for children over the age of 2yrs is not allowed. Please send sippers or tumblers for the childs use.

(g) Sleeping time is between 1.00 -3.00pm only.

(h) Day care will close by sharp 6pm on weekdays and 4pm (according to our clock) on Saturdays. Children still waiting to be picked up by their parents will have to wait along with one staff outside the gates.

(i) In case of school going children, Tech Kids is not responsible for things lost in their schools and also homework completion is the parents’ responsibility. Please send separate bags for daycare with separate snacks, water, change of dress etc. Under no circumstances will school bag items be used in the day care for the children.

Dresses & Diapers

(a) Two sets of dress and 3 sets of inner-wear must be kept for children below 5 years. If the child is not potty trained yet, please send extra diapers in the bag for the child’s use. A towel for wiping after washing is also a must.

(b) A napkin for all children, for use during meal times, is a must.

(c) Diapers are a must for children of 2 years & below. If the child is in the process of potty-training, kindly send 3 sets of innerwear and dress along with diapers.

(d) Skin-fitting clothes are not allowed for children up to the age of 5yrs. Loose pants or shorts are preferred.

(e) Parents are advised not to send their children with expensive ornaments. Tech Kids will not be responsible for the safety of such items.

(f) We discourage children from bringing toys from home, but if children do so, the staff will not be held responsible for any loss or damage caused to the toys.

Health and Hygiene

(a) Children should be bathed and dressed neatly in the mornings before being dropped to the daycare. Nails to be trimmed close; the child may not be allowed to stay in the daycare, if nails are untrimmed, only for safety reasons.

(b) Children who are sick or have cold, cough should not be sent to the crèche in order to prevent other children from getting infected. If the child is on sick leave for more than 3 days a doctor’s certificate stating that the child is fit to attend day care again is compulsory.

(c) In case of any injury or illness, parents will immediately be informed. The parent is requested to pick the child as soon as possible.

(d) No medicines will be administered to the children by the Tech Kids staff.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the qualification/training of the Tech Kids Staff?

The DayCare in-charge, Mrs. Aarthi is Montessori-trained and has several years of experience. Daycare assistants Mrs. Priya and Mrs. Sheela are Montessori or pre-primary trained.

Whether/when prospective parents could visit the daycare and see the facilities?

Yes, parents can visit the daycare on Saturdays, after emailing Tech Kids one day prior.

Can photographs be taken during birthday celebrations at Tech kids and these photos shared with parents?

Yes, this is possible. We request parents to inform us in advance if they would like photographs to be taken and shared.
