Eligibility
Children are eligible for Tech Kids if they are 10 months old or older and haven't had their 12th birthday yet. Further, you (the parent) must be one of:
Group A: Faculty / Staff members in Pay Level 10 and above / Hospital doctors / QIP scholars / Sponsored students,
Group B: Staff members in Pay Level 9 and below / Hospital Nurses / Postdoctoral scholars
Group C: Full-time students
Procedure
Make sure you satisfied the eligibility criteria above; if in doubt, email the Tech Kids executive committee with a copy of your IITM ID card (front+back) before proceeding. Assuming you are eligible, follow these steps:
Fill out this registration form here.
Send a copy of your IITM ID card (front+back) to Tech Kids.
Pay the fees as per the fee structure below and send proof of payment to Tech Kids. Payment details are available in the registration form.
Note that the use of TechKids will only be permitted till the expiry date mentioned on your ID card. Contact the executive committee in case of special circumstances.
Fee structure (w.e.f. Jan 2023)
There are three ways to pay for and use Tech Kids:
Term basis: Pay for one of the terms, i.e. Jan-March, April-June, July-September and October-December in one go at the start of the term.
Monthly basis: Pay for a calendar month at a time.
Day basis: Limited to 5 uses per calendar month.
Please note that:
payments must be made before use of the facility,
no partial payments are accepted, and
no refunds will be made once payments are done.
