Overview of my Research:
Modelling optimized architectures for perovskite solar cells (PSCs) using dielectric micro-resonators.
· Engineered Whispering Gallery modes (WGM) supported dielectric resonators embedded in PSC configurations,
· Achieved up to 72% enhancement in current density compared to planar perovskite architectures.
· Designed cavities using Fabry-Perot (FP) resonances to tailor spectral response for thin-film photovoltaics.
· Integrated concentric dielectric Bragg reflectors (DBRs) to enhance field confinement and spectral selectivity.
· Studied the morphology dependent interlayer texturing in these PSC configurations.
· Quantified the quantum efficiency, electric-field distribution profiles and current density of all the devices.
Developed analytical and electromagnetic models of resonating cavities for enhanced optical performance.
· Analytical validation of WGM through the Mie scattering model for pristine as well as core shell cavities.
· Modelled the Interference function in FP effects in perovskite crystals, verifying the Photoluminescence spectra.
· Modeled coupled dielectric resonators using tight-binding model to predict spectral splitting in the optical spectra.
· Established relationships between Q-factor, mode spacing, and resonant absorption in coupled dielectric resonators.
· Established predictive frameworks connecting resonator hybridization, WGM assisted feedback, and engineered light confinement.
Other Research Experiences:

Topic: Rationally Designed Flexible Three-Dimensional Interconnected Piezoelectric Composites Foam for Highly Efficient Mechanical Energy Harvesting
Overview: Synthesis of piezoelectric nanomaterials based on Barium titanate and polymeric foam for application as piezoelectric energy harvester.
· Worked on synthesis of BaTiO₃-based piezoelectric composites and polymer foams.
· Hands-on experience with XRD, SEM, TGA, FTIR, electrometer measurements.
Master’s Thesis Project (2019): Obtained “Excellent” grading with Distinction
Topic: Calculation of Splice loss in Optical Fibre Using Different Variational Approximations.
Overview: Highly accurate methods for the evaluation of splice loss in single- mode graded-index fibres, based on the variational approximations of the modal field of such fibres. The method predicts the Profile Shape Parameter and the Normalized Frequency of the fibre, from the Analytical Expressions of Power Transmission Coefficient for the fundamental modes.
