Chess Set
Solo Project
For this project, we were challenged to make a chess set with our own custom theme. We used Fusion 360 to model our pieces, and then 3D printed them. The first step in this project was to determine what classification of chess piece we wanted to make (between library, club, and tournament size). I chose to make (size), and started the project by scaling the bottoms of my pieces to fit in the squares. I also started drafting my pieces on paper basing my theme on The Battle Cats. After this, I started modeling my pieces. Printing them was a bit harder, as I found that the supports would damage some of my pieces. To get around this I increased the infill on my pieces and took extra care when removing supports.
Arduino Create
(Solo Project)
This project was based on combining coding with our 3D printing skills. Our goal was to use arduino components (such as LEDS) and combine them with a 3D printed design. The Arduino components that I chose to use were a buzzer, an ultrasonic sensor, and LEDs. Using these components I decided to make a motion sensor that lights up and makes sounds when somebody is nearby. I started the process by writing the code for the Arduino components, and once I had this done I started my 3D models. The hardest part of this project was getting everything to work together. The Arduino parts/code worked individually, but when combined with the 3D components
Create Your Own Landing Page
Solo Project
This project was unique due to the fact that it was fully digital. Our task was to create a webpage for a coffee shop in Figma using provided images and text. I started this project by using pencil and paper to sketch out possible designs, where I would then look at the different parts of the designs that I liked the most. Using this information I put my website together, and was able to tweak the different parts of the website that needed work.
