Hello everyone! My name is Harshil Bhavsar and I will be VP of Finance for Overground this year! I am currently a junior  majoring in Public Health. This will be my second year with Overground and I am so excited to be a part of the leadership team and helping out with the finances. My first year in overground I was tutoring online and then in person and it was something that I looked forward to every week to take an hour out of my week and help younger students succeed academically. I look forward to continuing Overground’s mission in building strong relationships in the St. Louis community for the rest of my time at SLU! 

Hi! My name is Abhinav Vayyeti and I am a junior at SLU studying Health Management with a minor in Biology. I have been tutoring with Overground over the past two years and this is my second year on the leadership team. I enjoy seeing students’ “aha” moments and showing them that they’re capable of tackling concepts that seem initially difficult. I hope to mentor them in such a way that instills confidence in their academic abilities. Through my role as VP of Operations, I hope to inform and engage the Overground community with regard to the club mission and issues pertinent to St. Louis Public Schools. 

Hello everyone, I am Jack Anderson your Marketing/Recruitment chair! My role is to help bring new members to the club and advertise all the great things we do in Overground. I am a Junior studying Neuroscience and I have a great passion for service. I love people; so much that I will help everyone, anywhere, whether it's my involvement in Oriflamme, Washu Children's Hospital, and of course Overground! I also love my sports, cooking, and EDM! I am committed to helping expand and improve this club to even greater heights. This truly is a special program helping amazing kids.

Hey everyone! My name is Pranav Chimakurty, and I am a junior from the Bay Area studying neuroscience with a minor in Urban Poverty Studies. This is my second year with Overground and I am serving as the VP of Special Projects this year. My past experience with Overground has allowed me to understand the systemic educational and social inequalities persistent in the Saint Louis community. I have had the opportunity to interact with young and enthusiastic students with personalities of their own, and see the impact that tutors have on students first-hand. I look forward to continue building relationships and serving the Saint Louis community.

Hello! My name is Marco Orendain, and I'm a senior studying Neuroscience and Theological Studies. I'm from Dallas, Texas, and I'm the Volunteer Coordinator for Overground. I'm responsible for overseeing and helping site coordinators fulfill their responsibilities! Amongst other things, I work with executive board members to place tutors at sites, facilitate conversations between site coordinators and school administrators, and conduct check-in meetings with site coordinators to ensure things are going smoothly.

Hi everyone! My name is Lydia Mulugeta and I am a sophomore from Seattle, Washington studying Neuroscience with a minor in Urban Poverty Studies. This is my second year with Overground and I am very excited to play a larger role in it as the Reflection Coordinator. Throughout the past year, Overground has helped me build a greater connection to the St. Louis community and taught me how to be an advocate for supportive, equitable education. I look forward to engaging in meaningful conversation surrounding the organization's mission and continuing to serve the children that lie at the center of it.

Hi everyone! My name is Shreya Patel and I am a senior studying Medical sciences. I am excited about my role as VP of standards for Overground this year. I have been involved in Overground for the past three years and I have loved working with the students and being able to see the impact we make as an organization. I am excited to use my position of VP Standards to create an environment that is collaborative and eager to continue to bring forward the values that Overground has stood for many years.

Hey everyone! My name is Ameya Padakanti and I’ll be serving as the AVP of Special Projects this year. Right now, I’m a sophomore, studying Public Health on the Pre-med track. This will be my second year in Overground and I just love this organization’s values, namely clogging the school-to-prison pipeline, reflection, and service. While in Overground, I hope to transform and serve the community that surrounds us one step at a time.

Hi, my name's Arilyn Myint and I'll be the AVP for Advocacy for Overground this year. I'm a sophomore majoring in Psychology and Sociology. I love anything sweet and prefer being outside doing things like hiking, fishing, camping and so on.
