Project LARSS is a SLU Aerospace Engineering senior design project. It is the capstone of our engineering curriculum, where we use the knowledge we have gained from all of our courses to design and build a complete, aerospace-related system from the ground up!
Our system will be a Low Altitude Rocket Stability System (hence LARSS) for application to high powered, amateur rockets, similar to those developed by the Saint Louis University Rocket Propulsion Lab.
The Project LARSS team is a group of classmates with diverse backgrounds who have come together to build the best stability control system possible. Made up of 4 aerospace engineering majors and 2 engineering physics majors, you can learn more about each of the team members on our Team Bios page.
You can find some additional information about Project LARSS on our department senior design page, here. That page is also a great place to learn about our fellow classmate's senior design projects, as well as some of the projects from the recent past.
Additionally, Project LARSS operates a Facebook page, which you can find here.
Project LARSS is currently running a crowdfunding campaign through the SLU-sponsored fundraising platform, Billiken Backers! Please take a look at our page if you are interested in supporting our project. Thank you to all who have donated!
