Race plays a central role in developing and delivering medical care in the United States. We created this website to illuminate the intricate relationship between race and medicine in America's past and present and how this knowledge can create a better future. Our mission is to highlight disparities among minority groups to inform and guide future advocacy for better medical research, practice, and care for all Americans.
We hope this site gives students, teachers, and the general public an overview of the history and state of race and medicine in America, as well as resources to continue learning more about the individual issues addressed by the students of ASTD2500.
