About Me
My interests lie at the intersection of philosophy and psychology. I concentrate on topics surrounding abnormal psychology and the self. I am currently working on a book project, Relational Narratives and Inclusive Selves: A Feminist and Disability-Informed Theory.
I am an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Seattle University. Previously, I spent a year as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant working with Anne Jeffrey at Baylor University. I completed my dissertation, "Schizophrenia and the Self: Integration, Fragmentation, and Being More Ourselves," at Saint Louis University under the supervision of Eleonore Stump. I also hold an M.A. in Philosophy from KU Leuven.
When I am not doing philosophy, I like to spend my time practicing classical ballet, playing the piano, and baking sourdough bread.
I live with my husband, Nick, and our two cats, Natasha and Nora. Natasha (above) enjoys shoes, while Nora (left) concentrates her energies on napping.
