Advisor Meetings in Your First Year
After you've completed a few weeks of classes, your advisor will reach out to you to schedule a meeting to check in on how your semester is going so far. This meeting is also a good time to talk with your advisor about your major/minor interests, any transfer credits, plans to study abroad, and the resources available on campus.
This meeting will occur later into your first semester and will be used to talk about registration for your second semester. In this meeting, your advisor will review the University Core curriculum with you and discuss your coursework plans for the spring semester.
This meeting will occur later into your second semester and will be used to talk about registration for the fall semester of your second year. In this meeting, your advisor will review your DegreeWorks audit with you (showing your remaining Core and Major/Minor requirements) and discuss your fall course plans with you. Please take time to review your DegreeWorks page before your meeting so that you can come prepared with any questions.
You are welcome to set up a meeting at any time with your advisor via EAB Navigate. You can use these appointments to discuss major/minor questions, academic difficulties, degree planning, or many other topics. While the above meetings are your required meetings with advisor, you can schedule meetings with them outside these planned times!
Group meetings were hosted in February 2025 to discuss study habits and resources, Career Service opportunities, graduation requirements, course schedules, and summer registration.
