SPORTSFEST WRAP-UP

“The Saint Louis University inter-unit sportsfest comes to an end.”

The life of a student is nothing short of a rollercoaster. A student has much to manage regarding assignments, practicals, examinations, internships, workshops, lectures, and more, all necessary to guarantee the most effective academic progress. This is in addition to acquiring new skills and exploring alternative options. Taking a moment to recharge oneself is crucial amid a busy schedule. This is where extracurricular activities play a key role. These activities help one stay upbeat, energized, and cheerful and significantly increase productivity. They not only make you feel better but also aid in developing your general personality and social abilities. 

Two years after the lockdown began due to Covid-19 pandemic, Saint Louis University has reinstated its inter-unit sports fest. Following the final events of the sportsfest week, numerous students from the different schools expressed unending support for their fellow students who participated in the competitions and represented the different departments of Saint Louis University Inc. Different campuses were also able to show their abilities in various sports and further developed their skills and abilities through SLU in trams 2023. It has been a great run for our Louisian athletes. However, as we end this event, we ask you, as a Lousian student, to stay active and engage in recreational activities to improve overall well-being.

Samvednacare.org reports that taking part in sports and physical activities has many benefits, including: 


(1) Physical activity and sports improve physical health. 


(2) Participating in sports-related activities can aid in preventing cardiovascular and musculoskeletal issues. 


(3) Sports boost self-confidence and help organize daily activities. 


(4) Playing team sports can encourage social interaction and the development of interpersonal bonds. 


(5) It also guards against sickness and degenerative disorders.

An individual's physical health, cognitive function, and psychological well-being may all improve as a result of frequent engaging in physical activity.
