FAQs

Students may take out three (3) books at a time for a two (2) week period.

Of the three books, only take out one (1) per series.

While students are not charged late fees, they will be charged for the cost of a book that is lost or deemed damaged beyond repair.

Students come to the library with their ELA teacher for one class period in our 5 day cycle. During this time, there will be a 20-25 minute lesson followed by
15-minute book exchange and centers.

Curriculum:

All grades focus on Library Citizenship, Career Readiness, and Digital Citizenship as well as: 

4th Grade - Features of Nonfiction & Alphabetical Order/ Dictionary Skills

5th Grade - Research Skills & Figurative Language

6th Grade - Research Skills & Features of Informational Text
