How to spot a phishing email 

Below is a sample email, there are 4 big give-a-ways that this is a hoax. See if you can spot them all !

To avoid service interruptions, click on Outlook Web App 2019 and log in to migrate and block suspicious spam emails.

 If you do not transfer your account within 12 hours, your account will be suspended.

#1 – the email is from someone we don’t know

#2 – the To:  address isn’t even our name

#3 – if you hover over the URL /link (but don’t click it)  is it not an httpS site (so it is unsecure – one should never login to an http site – always check for the httpS (s means secure – but not necessary safe) and it also wants to take us to some creatorlink.net site.. not our organizations sllboces.org site. 

#4 – hurry quick deadline do it with in 12 hours or else…  (the fear factor).
