Dollars for Scholars is the local scholarship program for Storm Lake High School Students.

The Future Ready Iowa program was designed to help students cover the gap between grants/ scholarships and the tuition and fees of college.

Some colleges have partnered with Storm Lake Senior High to offer scholars programs including additional scholarships and tuition assistance to our students. If you are interested in any of the colleges below, please be sure to complete the required applications to be considered for these programs.
The Presidential Scholarship is a full tuition scholarship that will cover all four years (or 8 semesters) a student is enrolled at Briar Cliff. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to four incoming undergraduate students who have exemplified academic excellence, outstanding contributions to their community, and extraordinary leadership thus far in their education careers.
To apply and be considered for this scholarship, a student must have a GPA of 3.75 or above, complete a scholarship application, submit two letters of recommendation, and submit a short video answering a few short essay questions.
After applications are reviewed, students will be invited to interview in person. The scholarship deadline is October 16th and interviews will be held on October 27th. We appreciate your assistance in sharing this information with any eligible students!
Be mindful of deadlines! Do not wait until the last minute to complete scholarships.
It may be helpful to create a document outlining your activities, community service, awards, and honors. (Many scholarships ask for these.)
Explain why you are the best person to receive the scholarship.
Let your passion shine through.
Highlight any relevant experience or activities you have participated in.
Talk about your goals and what you hope to achieve.
Use a formal tone and professionalism in your responses.
Show your creativity with a strong introduction and conclusion.
Proof read your work! Ask someone else to proof read your work as well.
