This project included using a green screen for the first time. It helped us learn how to work with a green screen and edit our clips with a background using Final Cut Pro. We had to make sure that the colors were correct and there wasn't anything that looked off because of the keying or the green screen. If there were we adjusted it.
This video was 100% real... with a little bit of help from Final Cut. I learned to create these silly shots with sound effects and some editing. We shot a long clip and then cut the clips.
In this project we used After Effects to recreate a scene from Star Wars. The fight scene between Obiwan and General Grievous may seem short and simple but there was a lot that went into the couple of seconds. We had to create a garbage matte, key the green screen, frame each saber to move correctly, color correct, and sounds. Though this project took some time and was tedious, I enjoyed getting to do it since the end result was sick.
For this project, we used the program After Effects and created a Fireball. We started off with a circle effect layer and feathered the edges, adjusted the colors, noise and grain, and glow to create a more realistic fireball effect. Then I created a mask around the hand so the fireball would not abstract the hand. After that I animated the fireball to move along with Will's hand and then toward the screen.
This project made my brain melt. My group and I shot on a green screen and then in Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects created a street fighter fight. I keyed the green screen, added fireballs in After Effects, and added the necessary titles and music. I enjoyed how the project turned out and it's humor.
I used Adobe After Effects and did motion tracking using the Null Object and Track Motion tools and then edited the rest in Final Cut. I like how the final product turned out because it looks realistic and would actually look nice on our campus.
For this project I used the Tracker and corner pin tools in Adobe After Effects. Then I moved all the tracker points and moved them to the corners of the screen. After doing this Adobe analyzed all of the motions and I moved the image layer to the top and in the front. After all of this I used Final Cut Pro to create the title and end cut transitions.
In this project I filmed a video with something I could track. I decided to film Mr. Farley's projection screen. After filming I used Adobe After Effects' tracking tool and tracked all the corners of the screen and let Adobe track each frame motion. I added the image of Pepe and then went into Final Cut to add the titles, credits, and slam logo.
This video was shot in the one and only SLAM Hallway™ I imported the footage into Adobe After Effects and then used the track camera tool. After After Effects analyzed all of the tracking points, I selected the areas I wanted the images to be on. Then I added the images onto the panels and moved them around until they were adjusted. I rendered the final result and imported it into Final Cut and added the title and ending SLAM logo.
