Senior Leadership Team (SLT)

Mrs Claire Fox - Headteacher

The role of the Headteacher is, within the resources available, to conduct the affairs of the school to the benefit of the pupils and the community it serves, through pursuing objectives and implementing policies set by the education authority.

Mrs Fox’s specific responsibilities include:

• Overall responsibility for leading and managing the school and nursery class

• Line Manager of promoted and unpromoted teaching staff

• Overall monitoring of Quality Assurance of Learning and Teaching in the school and nursery class

• Departmental Lead for P7 and NCCT

  • • • Quality Assurance of Learning and Teaching

      • Relationships and pastoral care

      • Pupil wellbeing and attendance

      • Parental queries and concerns

• Transition from P7 to S1

• School Improvement and Quality Planning

• School Policy

• Relationships and Pupil Pastoral Care across the school

• Staff Wellbeing

• Maximising Staff Attendance

• Health and Safety

• Finance and Budget

• Advisor to the Parent Council

Mrs Joanne Keltie - Depute Headteacher

The role of the Depute Head Teacher is to assist the Head Teacher to conduct the affairs of the school to the benefit of the pupils and the community it serves and deputise in the Head Teacher’s absence.

Mrs Keltie’s specific responsibilities include:

• Departmental Lead for P4 – P6

  • • • Quality Assurance of Learning and Teaching

      • Relationships and pastoral care

      • Pupil wellbeing and attendance

      • Parental queries and concerns

• ASN Co-ordinator Nursery and P1- P7

• Equity Lead

• Numeracy Lead

• Parent Council Link

• PRT Mentor

• Young Leaders of Learning Lead

Mrs Karen Dowd - (Acting) Depute Headteacher

The role of the Depute Head Teacher is to assist the Head Teacher to conduct the affairs of the school to the benefit of the pupils and the community it serves and deputise in the Head Teacher’s absence.

Mrs Dowd’s specific responsibilities include:

• Lead for Nursery including Quality Assurance and ASN Co-ordinator

• Departmental Lead for P1 – P2

  • • • Quality Assurance of Learning and Teaching

      • Relationships and pastoral care

      • Pupil wellbeing and attendance

      • Parental queries and concerns

• Transition from Nursery to Primary

• Literacy Lead

• Play Lead

Mrs Gillian Mitchell - Principal Teacher

The role of the Principal Teacher is to assist the Head Teacher and Depute Head Teachers to conduct the affairs of the school to the benefit of the pupils and the community as a lead member of teaching staff with delegated leadership responsibilities.

Mrs Mitchell’s specific responsibilities include:

• Departmental Lead for P3 and P3/4

  • • • Quality Assurance of Learning and Teaching

      • Relationships and pastoral care

      • Pupil wellbeing and attendance

      • Parental queries and concerns

• Early Intervention Link
