Welcome to the digital teacher support hub for Stonelaw! Here you can find support around implementing digital learning strategies into your classroom and a range of videos supporting your use of Google Classroom.
This session the LTA Group will combine Top Tips with evidence/theory of ‘what works’ to support and improve learning teaching and assessment. Every fortnight, the Friday Four will be shared with all staff focusing on an area of development identified from our whole school classroom observations for example Checking for Understanding, Questioning, Differentiation. The Friday Four also contains digital strategies to support staff.
Do you have any queries around digital learning? Mr Matthews is available every Monday lunchtime in Room 10 to provide you with any support you require or any questions you may have. If this time does not suit, please email him at gw19matthewsbradley@glow.sch.uk.
As part of digital literacy week, I would like to share some good digital practice from Simone Paterson. She has created a digital praise postcard which she shares with pupils, celebrating their success in Science via Google Classroom. Aswell as allowing parents to be aware of this praise in a more personable manner, this also provides pupils with an opportunity to engage with an important digital tool.
The template that has been used for pupils can be accessed using the button to the left. You will need to make a copy of it to your own drive so that you do not all edit the same template (File --> Make a copy --> Save to your Drive).
Amend the template to suit the postcard you would like to send to pupils.
Record your voice and generate a QR code on Vocaroo (https://vocaroo.com/). This may not work on your school computer, so you can use your phone to record the praise, save the QR code and send yourself the QR code through email. Embed your QR code onto the slide above the 'Scan me I can talk bubble'.
Post the Digital Praise Postcard to the individual pupil on Google Classroom.
