We believe that the home school partnership is key to the child being successful in school. If you wish to contact the school, telephone the school office on 01355 574110 and ask to speak to your child’s guidance teacher in the first instance. Alternatively, you can email the guidance staff. Their details can be found in the key contacts at the end.
The transition team are liaising very closely with the Primary Head Teachers and P7 teachers.
Important information relating to any pupil who has a specific barrier to their learning and therefore may require support will be passed to us. We will put in place a plan to help meet their support needs. This can include a learning profile so that all teachers are aware of the learning need and strategies to support their learning.
All health information about every pupil is compiled and confidentially distributed to staff. Staff are required to familiarise themselves with the children in their class.
The school has a number of first-aid trained staff who will familiarise themselves with the list.
There are a large number of lockers available for S1. Unfortunately we don’t have enough for everyone. All pupils are asked to go to the school office when advised and put their name on a list if they wish to receive a locker. The names will be balloted with the successful pupils allocated one and the rest will be put on a waiting list. The cost of the school locker for the entire school career is £10.
All our uniform is supplied by Academy Uniforms (including the PE kit).
